Ok so we are launching issue 3 Friday week at Sticky as part of their "Festival of the Photocopier", or in our case laser printer!
The super lovely Rachel from Booked Into Art is kindly hosting a book making workshop as part of our launch. It's free to participate (we are providing all the materials) all you need to do is get to the launch on time. As we have mentioned in earlier posts the theme for the launch is "Love, Inspiration and Craftiness". So we are asking everyone who attends to answer 3 questions for us :
Q1. Love is...........
Q2. I am inspired by........
Q3. My favorite craft book is and craft site is ........
We will feature answers in issue 4. If you can't make it to the launch PLEASE email us or post in your answers :)
Cheers

Submission call!

Issue 3 is about to go to print and will be hitting the streets on February 8th!!! YAY!!

We are now looking for submissions for issue 4 so if you fancy trying your hand at writing and having your words published in Mixtape zine get typing!!! We have a bit of a theme happening for issue 4 "Love, Inspiration and Craftiness" so if you'd like to do something that fits in with this that would be fantastic, if not then that's good with us too.

The deadline for submissions in March 10th but the sooner the better. Please remember that i will be having a baby around this date so if i don't respond to your email straight away don't worry, i'll get to you eventually, or my partner in craft will :)

We look forward to hearing from you!

Kid's crafting

Our copies of Everyday Craft from Kids Craft Weekly arrived in the mail this week and the girls and I got straight down to business. We chose to make these cool little cardboard roll dolls since we had all the supplies on hand.
(That's mine in the middle, the only one with a face!)

The girls had great fun (so did i) and it was a great way to spend a very hot day stuck inside. I think paper bag owls could be our next project followed by rainbow rice and pasta pictures.

We'd also like to send out our thanks to BurdaStyle for mentioning us on their blog!!!
